For the Love of Lists… Field Trips 2011-2012

I was recently discussing with my hubby, the number of field trips we’ve taken this year. I started rattling a few off and realized I had already forgotten a bunch…. anyhow, it got me to thinking that I would love to have a list of the field trips!! Come to find out, we took over 30 field trips this year! Just one more reason to love homeschooling.

Yes, I know, a little silly, but for this list-maker at heart, it makes me smile to have a list to look back on for our year.

Fine Arts Field Trips

Disney on Ice (the two older kids with Aunt Toni)

Disney Princess Theatre Show (Dad with Alexa)

Good Night Moon and The Runaway Bunny Theatre Show (the two older kids with mom) 

Stomp (Mom and Treyton)

Nate the Great Theatre Show (Mom and Treyton)

The Hundred Dresses Theatre Show (Mom and Treyton)


Historical Field Trip

Heritage Hill

Christopher Columbus Ship Replicas in Sturgeon Bay


Miscellaneous Field Trips

Zoo (half a dozen to a dozen times this year)

Children’s Museum – Building for Kids in Appleton (3 or 4 times this year)

Wildwood Wildlife Park in Minocqua

Toured Lambeau Field in Green Bay (very informative)


Nature Study Field Trips

Peninsula State Park – Camping

Devil’s Lake State Park – Camping

Yogi Bear Park – Camping

High Cliff State Park – Camping

Clear Lake Campground in Minocqua

Garden of Fox Cities in Appleton (we did a nature journaling class here monthly from September through January this past year)
